My sister and I planned a baby shower for one of our nieces. We made the decision to have it in the fellowship area of the neighborhood church because it was a large guest list. The fellowship section has large round tables that seat ten people. We moved one table off on its own to be the gift table. We covered this table with a smooth pink table cloth; our niece has found out she is having a girl. We set the bassinet in the center of the table. We decided to use our presents for the baby shower decorations. I had purchased a pink and white baby blanket, which we draped over the side of the cradle. We pinned several rattles and other baby toys to the blanket using diaper pins. We then showed the little outfits that my sister had bought. We finished the baby shower decorations for the gift table by placing a big stuffed bear into the bassinet. It's so much fun to decorating for a baby shower!

For the food service table we had an arrangement of fresh cut flowers from the community florist. She used soft pink carnations, baby's breathe and daisies for the arrangement. We determined that no other baby shower decorations needed to be placed on this table. We did have pink napkins that we put on this table, along with a cake that was decorated with a stork holding a little doll in a pink frosting blanket.

We had also ordered a corsage for our niece and one for every of the new grandmothers to be. We felt that the room looked very nice and we wouldn't have to spend a solid deal of time cleaning up baby shower decorations due to the fact that they would all be sent home as gifts to our niece.

We had a great turn out for the baby shower party. My niece received several very nice gifts. She was glad that we had the baby shower party in a space that was not cramped. As she progresses with the maternity she is feeling more claustrophobic. Within 30 moments after the baby shower was over the fellowship area was cleaned up and we were on our way home.
