I think that the best answer for me might simply be to get 1 of the newer window mounted air conditioners. They have become cheaper and cheaper, and they use a reduced amount of energy than ever before, as I have heard. It seems like a more efficient answer all around, due to the fact that I can just spend my time in that room when I want to be cool, without needing to pay to run the air conditioner to cool the whole house, which is a massive expense. I think that centralized air will have to wait at the very least another year at this point. I would rather spend my money on trips to the beach.
