Although this is "me time" I like being with friends. The miles go by so quickly when I have someone to speak to during the walk.

There is nothing to purchase (aside from a great pair of walking shoes) and the exercise can be completed almost anywhere. Save the fitness club membership and the fitness machines for the winter.

As for me, I go back to my stepper and dust off the treadmill during the winter time. After all, I paid good cash for those items. Walking for exercise is still fun even on a tread-mill.
